Rey A. Baribault, P.E.

 

Also a co-founder, Vice President - Engineering for North Plains Energy, LLC, Mr. Baribault has served as CEO of IPR Energy, LLC (“IPR”), a Dallas-based production and development company which acquires and develops oil and natural gas reserves in Texas, the Gulf Coast, Permian and Michigan Basins of the United States. Through its affiliates, IPR has completed successful oil and gas acquisitions, implemented improvements, and closed divestitures in South

Louisiana and Southeast New Mexico while also providing workover, roustabout, pumper, and tank truck services to its Texas operations.

 

 

From 1990 to 2002, Mr. Baribault served as Vice-President, Supervisor, & Petroleum Engineering Consultant with Netherland, Sewell & Associates, Inc. (“NSAI”) where his work

included supervising a five-member team of engineering and petroleum analyst professionals. While at NSAI, Mr. Baribault generated SEC and SPE oil and gas reserve determinations;

acquisition and divestment evaluations; field studies; expert testimony; underground gas storage field designs, expansion and storage well performance evaluations; production forecasting and economic analyses of onshore and offshore properties in the U.S.

 

 

From 1985 to 1990, Mr. Baribault advanced from Project Engineer to Senior Engineer for Exxon Company, U.S.A. where he conducted reservoir engineering surveillance for deep, natural gas fields in south Louisiana and identified and evaluated well workover programs, drilling locations, gas compression installation and provided reservoir engineering support to production and drilling engineers and field personnel. He was responsible for well testing and unitization

planning for the Chalkley Field in Cameron Parish, a 1989 geo-pressured Miogyp gas discovery.

 

 

Initial JV group assignments included production surveillance and reservoir management of inland Gulf Coast and offshore non-operated fields; evaluated AFE’d work projects proposed

by other operators from drilling locations to production facility modifications; and offshore unitization projects with joint partner companies. Mr. Baribault has a B.S. in Petroleum

Engineering, from Louisiana State University, is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and Society of Mechanical Engineers, and a Registered Petroleum Engineer in the State of Texas.
